Hello Urban Fantasy World!

Hi there mortals, mages, and minions! I’m so happy to have this site up and running and for this to be my inaugural post. I plan on using the blog to post about my writing journey as well as tidbits and tales of my everyday life.

It will no doubt be random, manic, and a little bit helter-skelter when it comes to my blogging. Which lines right up with my just now discover of the Fantasy Indies August hashtag extravaganza happening. The image going around is below.

Amazing, right? And serendipitous! Love it! So, every day I’ll be on here and on my socials posting about each day’s subject! So without further ado, here we go!

I’m Brian Keith Dye, wisconsite by birth and fantasist by nature. I’ve been enamored with all things fantasy since I was a little kid reading X-men comics before picking up paperbacks of Le Guins Earthsea and The Princess Bride and later epic fantasies like Imaro by Charles Saunders and then into urban fantasy with Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, Emma Bull and later still like Delaney and Butler.

Along the way I couldn’t help but try my hand at both sketching and writing. And while the pencils never sang to me, the keyboard keys certainly did. I’ve been writing everything from poems to short stories to novellas and finally to my first soon to be out in the world novel: Grave Matters.

So, get ready to dive into the magic-soaked World Beneath where Vodou, arcane law, and Pan-Dimensional politics collide. The Terra Graves Series delivers gripping, character-driven urban fantasy full of ancestral fire, chosen family, and high-stakes rebellion.

See you tomorrow!
