It's me, BKD

My love for fantasy and horror runs deep across novels, screenplays, folklore, and Afro-futurist games that crackle with style and consequence. I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where haunted houses and Midwestern winters gave me an early taste for the eerie. Since then, I’ve called Los Angeles, London, New Orleans, and Seoul home, each place feeding my love of language, layered cultures, and the strange stories cities hide.
I spent fifteen years teaching English in South Korea, where I also dove headlong into writing workshops, online raid parties, and midnight storytelling sprints. I’ve studied writing at the University of Southern California and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, but I’ve been crafting tales, poems, scripts, and short stories, since I was a kid trying to trap ghosts in old notebooks.
When I’m not writing, I’m playing with cats Ginger and Jinx, gaming, traveling, or chasing the perfect bite of something bold, spicy, and unexpected.
