FAQs

Answering the pertinent questions on the tip of your tongue.

Urban Fantasy offers that very real, down to Earth, just around the corner vibe that grounds the story in real life while offering a magical twist that makes the world exciting, dangerous, and wonderful. Its the thought that even though everything seems normal there’s magic just out of sight. I love that.

Never say never, but my primary focus and what I love to write is Urban Fantasy. It speaks to me like no other genre and has me by the toes.

Wow, my ideas spring up from so many different sources colliding and mingling in my brain. Everything from DC and Marvel comics, Saturday morning cartoons, dog eared paperback novels, to daydreams and nightmares, to video games like ARCHON and Age of Mythology, and childhood D&D and RIFTS sessions. And then there’s the rollercoaster of life. The places I’ve gone and the people I’ve met influence everything I write.

Impossible to answer! I love all my characters but if I had to narrow it down to three: Terra Graves, Everett Chase, and Peregrine Harper.

For me writing happens at my computer desk. I need a cup of coffee. I need my muse! A musician or singer I want to channel for the day’s writing session. I tailor the music to the taste of the POV character I’m writing which helps me get into their headspace. Then I try to write at least a section at minimum.

When it comes to my favorite authors the list is long and rambling: James Baldwin, Oscar Wilde, William Joseph Martin (PZB), Clive Barker, Stephen King, Tananarive Due Due, Steven Barnes, Tanya Huff, Laurel K. Hamilton, Jim Butcher, L.A. Banks and so many, many more.

This is the question! I am in the process of things and hope to have it in reader hands as soon as possible!
